October releases and our new competition winner

It's the first of October and that means a change in the Limted Edition colour!
Octobers Ltd Ed
I had fun yesterday playing with autumnal colours, and came up with 2 possibilities for this months limited edition.  I have released both colours today, one as the limited edition and the other as a standard colour called Fall Foliage.  I chose to make Fall a standard colour as it's very usable it should work well for any slightly Autumnal fairy it's soft enough in shade it won't over power a design. I don't always release the colours that don't make it as monthly limiteds.

Fall Foliage
Moss Rose

I had been tempted to go down the pumpkin orange route for this month, but looking out of the window to where the trees are beginning to change yesterday made me reconsider.  My pear tree is going a beautiful shade of orangy red, so that was the inspiration for the limited colour.  I haven't forgotten Halloween, I have something planned for the end of the month, but I'm not telling you what yet!

Also released today is Raspberry Parfait, a blend of raspberry pinks, and finally and by no means least Moss Rose, the September newsletter competition winner, named by Ilke Cochrane.  Thank you for all your entries, I had trouble picking a winner.

I forgot to mention

All fabrics are now available dyed onto 22 count Oslo evenweave.  The fabric takes dye similarly to the other evenweaves (Aida is lighter and Linen darker as a rule of thumb).

Septembers Ltd Edition fabric

Septembers fabric is up on the site, its a brown and green blend inspired by the trees beginning to change and misty autumn mornings, so it's  quite a soft colour which blends nicely.  It would look gorgeous as a background for a Ravenscroft, e.g. Autumn Leaf Fairy, Contemplation (though I still prefer forest canopy for her), and I'm going to stop there before I end up buying myself more charts (HEADs websites a dangerous place to go!).  The newsletter also went out this morning, let me know if you didn't get yours and I'll send it again.  It's another name that fabric competition this month.

A little more eye candy

Tonights picture is courtesy of Georgina, this is her floss toss for Mirabilia's Fairy Moon.  The fabric is 28 count Cashel Linen in Evening Magic, I think it's going to look great when stitched.  I am loving seeing these floss tosses.

New large one off available on the website

I was playing about with a few different colours yesterday and came up with this larger cut one off colour.  It's dyed onto 28 count Cashel Linen, it's come out really well.  The fabric size is 29.5" x 24.5".

I can be found in the oddment section of the site or from clicking here.

Some eye candy

I just had to share this, Judy sent me a picture of her floss toss for HAEDs QS Garnet (Racheal Anderson).  I love the vididness of the colours.  The fabric is Opalescent Dragons Evening Sky
